Joelene Ray – Vice President and Co-owner
Joelene joined RNR Steel Inc. back in 2001 when it changed from Rodko Repair. She started with learning the accounting system and doing cold calls to build their clientele. A few years later and after some college courses, she began to understand more of what it took to run the office.
As Joelene continued to build her skills in running the office, RNR Steel Inc. continued to grow and moved to a larger facility to accommodate bigger jobs and more customers in 2010. Joelene began expanding her skills to coordinating all steel sales, house beams and brick angle quotes. From there she started conducting more of the receiving and checking delivered materials.
In the 20+ years Joelene has worked for RNR Steel Inc., she has done everything from accounting, human resources, shipping, receiving, inventory and the list goes on! Since Joelene’s dad, Richard Ray was the owner of the company, the steel business is in Joelene’s DNA!
In 2022, Joelene had the opportunity to purchase the company with her co-owner, Edward Carreon, from Richard Ray (Joelene’s dad). As the Vice President, Joelene is responsible for completing the majority of the paperwork to keep the business running smoothly, as well as other duties around the shop and yard.
Joelene looks forward to many more years running RNR Steel Inc. along with her co-owner Edward Carreon.
